Throughout my internship at Jean Yip Group, one of my biggest accomplishments was becoming more organised and efficient in managing my workload. Handling content for multiple brands taught me how to prioritise tasks, manage different deadlines, and plan my work ahead of time. Compared to when I first started, I am now more confident in handling several responsibilities at once while maintaining the quality of my work.
I also improved my technical and creative skills, especially in video editing, photography, and videography.
I also improved my technical and creative skills, especially in video editing, photography, and videography. Through regular content creation, I became more comfortable using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and CapCut to produce and edit content for different platforms.
Working on actual brand content also taught me to think beyond just making something look good and focus more on pacing, storytelling, and how the final content communicates with its audience.
One of the major projects I was involved in was the Beauty and Wellness Vogue event, where I gained experience working on content in an event setting. I was also involved in the Singapore National Day campaign, where I was responsible for location scouting and capturing behind-the-scenes content.
These experiences taught me that successful content production requires preparation, teamwork, and the ability to adapt quickly when working on-site.
Another memorable project was theJean Yip reality show, where I had the opportunity to take on more responsibility by leading interviews. This challenged me to communicate confidently, prepare suitable questions, and guide conversations while thinking about how the footage would contribute to the final content. Being involved in the project helped improve both my communication skills and my understanding of how content is planned and produced from start to finish.
I was also involved in Mummy Fest, which gave me further exposure to creating content around events and engaging with different audiences. Being part of these major projects allowed me to experience different sides of marketing, from planning and production to filming and post-production.
Overall, my internship has helped me become more organised, efficient, creative, and confident, while strengthening my interest in digital marketing and content creation.
From short films to music parodies, I have explored different video genres to refine my storytelling and editing skills. These self-directed projects taught me the value of pacing, narrative, and audience engagement, while also building my technical abilities with editing software.
“Cinta Insta” is a Malay song I wrote and performed, now available on Spotify and YouTube. The song blends modern pop influences with a relatable theme about digital-age romance. I handled creative direction, cover art, and promotional visuals for the release.
My design work spans across posters, clothing, and website creation — each project rooted in the same philosophy: clear communication through visually engaging and purposeful design. I believe that every design, regardless of medium, should not only attract attention but also deliver its message with clarity and intent.
In poster design, I focus on blending strong visual hierarchy, balanced typography, and thoughtful color palettes to capture attention and convey a message instantly. Every poster is designed to guide the viewer’s eye, whether for event promotion, storytelling, or conceptual visuals.
Through my clothing brand SIMPLE.SGP, I translate minimalistic yet meaningful ideas into wearable art. Each piece embraces clean graphics, versatile color schemes, and a subtle but distinct character, reflecting the lifestyle of living simply yet uniquely.
I directed and executed a professional product shoot for Iffah Hair & Beauty Salon, managing both the photography and post-production editing. This project focused on highlighting product textures, colors, and branding elements to create visuals that resonate with the target audience.
